Before you go

For farm visits you will get disposable suits which you put on onto your everyday dress. They can not protect against smell, so you should have extra clothes for going out and excursions.

For possible sport activities you could have sport clothes and shoes.

You will see different types of farms, from a family to an industrial farm. They all employ considerably small number of staff, so they can not create special conditions for visitors. The workflow will not stop during a visit.

Most of the farms have Russian speaking practicants, this will make communication easier. Nevertheless, practicants may not have agricultural education from their background.

A farmer is a manager in the first rate, most of the knowledge he gets from hired consultants. He doesn’t necessarily go into small details.

Farms may stand at quite a distance from the place of accommodation, so you will be able to see the countryside while driving. Accommodation will be given at agricultural academies or  hostels (a room for two).

Meals will be served in a dining hall for all the teachers and students. Soups are usually not a part of Danish cuisine, but there will be a lot of greenery. There are 3 meals plus 3 coffee times a day. Danes prefer coffee to tea, but you can have both.

Danes are home-sitters; you will not see many bars, discos etc. There are almost no people in the street, especially in the evening.
